Took me a while to get to but this is a nice capstone. I hope you two hydrated after this... This is such a loving project, you can really tell those who worked on it cared for the material.

The part where they bow to the Hobbits is always the hardest part not to cry at, so it made me laugh seeing you lose it even more at that part lmao.

Finally managed to watch this and did not disappoint phenomenal reaction, guys, and I hope you hugged and drank plenty water after! The most interesting part is cause Arianna read them years ago and you can kinda see her at times emotionally prepare beforehand - it really feels like it was unearthing emotions long dormant from reading the story that were finally allowed out upon seeing it. I don't know how you're feeling Arianna, but it looked cathartic 😭💙🫂

These movies are probably the most I've ever cried from non-sad/devastating things, but moreso from the touching/uplifting things.

Love the mighty boosh reference, didn’t think it would be popular in America, serious question….have you ever drank Baileys from a shoe?.

nothing to do with LOTR, but as far as Maple and Harry Potter, I would try the audiobook of at least the first book read by Jim Dale. You can listen while you work or walk, and he does unique voices for all the characters.

No, they did not marry each other. Matter of fact, Pippin married the lady he winked at when he caught Rosie's flowers. Sorry to all the LGBTQ people here.

"Merry and Pippin stay in the service of their kings, even when they go home and get married." Choosing to believe you meant that they married each other! Great summary

If the movie wasn't sad enough for you, here's a fun fact: Tolkien once said that one possible reason that Hobbits don't exist anymore is that Men ended up hunting them to extinction!

Recently, rewatched Arachnophobia myself. I don't consider myself "afraid" of spiders, but I definitely had to rethink that after the rewatch. Still a fun movie.

Since Arianna mentioned she is afraid of spiders, you two should watch Arachnophobia.

Maple, in case you don’t know yet, here’s the epilogue: Aragorn reunites the two kingdoms established by his ancestors and rules with Arwen for 120 years, during which time they have a son and several daughters. Merry and Pippin stay in the service of their kings even when they go home and get married, continuing to to great work for their parts of the Shire AND for Rohan and Gondor, and when they die, are laid to rest in Gondor beside Aragorn. Faramir marries Eowyn, has a son with her and becomes Aragorn’s steward. Legolas and Gimli make pacts with each other to visit Fangorn Forest and the Glittering Caves of Helm’s Deep, where Gimli starts his own Dwarf community, and after Aragorn dies they leave Middle Earth together; Gimli being the first and only Dwarf to be allowed in Valinor. Sam becomes Mayor of the Shire for seven consecutive terms, his daughter marries Pippin’s son and after Rosie dies he goes to Valinor as well.
