Breaking Bad Saul: "I once convinced a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because /I/ believed it."
This episode was a callforward to that callback.

Did you just bring up the lie Johnny Depp the Wife Beater made up to ridicule his abuse victim Amber Heard, as a fucking joke? You know he was the abuser right? It's so freaking obvious he was. You said it several fucking times. How fucking dare you? Guess this channel doesn't fucking care about abuse victims. It's all a fucking joke to you.

Another way in which Jimmy and Walt are perfect opposites or foils is that Walt is a very bland and forgettable person who can’t bear to accept that he’s ordinary and not special; whereas Jimmy is a very extreme and eccentric personality who can’t help but stand out, but really just wants to fit in and be accepted; like you could be Walt’s neighbor or coworker for years and barely know anything about him; If he hadn’t become a meth kingpin then in a few years they’d all be like “Who? That one awkward quiet guy with the glasses? What was his name again?” Whereas Jimmy instantly becomes the center of attention every time he enters a room lmao; People he met at a bar once in 1985 still talk about it like “One time I met an actual leprechaun who spoke in beautiful riddles and movie quotes. We partied all night. It was like a dream. And when I woke, I realized he had stolen my wallet.”
