He clearly can't. Not at will. It's in his head but he doesn't have active control over it. If he 'powers through' it like he did here, it's just as real to him as it would be for us if we were powering through some tooth pain or something. It doesn't mean he doesn't suddenly feel anything in that conference room scene. It's only when he isn't aware that there's electricity in the vicinity that he doesn't feel anything because he thinks he's safe.

2024-10-23 03:30:03 +0000 UTCI just notice this, but Chuck calls Jimmy "Svengali" when he hears that Jimmy is sharing expenses with Kim. Basically it's a novel and that is a sinister character than hypnotizes a woman. Again, this is more evidence that he thinks Kim is too good for Jimmy and he's hypnotizing her with his charm and they shouldn't be doing their practice. He again is taking away her agency and it's not coming from a good place. I really dont agree with Chuck defenders.

Don't worry, 99% of people have no idea what Mike is doing at the time (reddit comments + other reactors were wild confused) but watching it unfold is so satisfying. Jimmy McGill puts in work. He probably spent hours at that copy shop, meticulously forging documents. You can accuse the man of lying, cheating, scamming etc, but you can't accuse him of being lazy. He gets a public masturbator onto a military base just to get a shot. Showmanship! 1000% agree that Chuck wouldn't do the same if things were switched. I think he wants to BELIEVE he would. IMO this show is the best piece of prequel media ever, because knowing where characters end up makes things better, and it makes Breaking Bad (and El Camino) better too. Chuck would be irredeemable except like Maple mentioned, we know he's sorta right, Jimmy does become Saul Goodman and protects horrible criminals from facing consequences. These juicy, crunchy contradictions drive the drama of the show. It's good!
