🍿 Film Club: One man's fight to fulfil his destiny - our thoughts on the emotive HILL documentary

Earlier this month, Sky released the documentary film HILL, which follows 1996 Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill as he defies the odds and overcomes tragedy to step out of his father Graham’s shadow and become a racing legend in his own right.

Naturally, we couldn't wait to give it a watch - and now Glenn Freeman, Edd Straw and Ben Anderson are here to share their thoughts.

According to the producers, the film uses frank interviews and never-before-seen footage to explore the emotional and physical highs and lows of life at the pinnacle of motorsport, while showing Damon as not just a racing driver, but also a husband, a father, and a man fighting to fulfil his destiny.

Does the film succeed in its ambition? Listen in for our verdict, then leave your thoughts in the comments.

Excellent review, just watched it for a second time. I like the short time of Damon’s career, very reminiscent of the supersonic oasis documentary focusing on a glorious period of time.
