To him it's perfectly reasonable that when Jesse does a good job, he should get a reward like ice cream. It's just as reasonable that when he does something bad (trying to escape) he should receive a punishment in seeing Andrea murdered in front of him. He fully means it when he says it's not personal, it's just cause and effect. He's a "nice" guy, but he just has no understanding of true morality or what others would see as reprehensible behavior.

But the reasons were always…” and just trails off right there. It’s a bit of a foreshadow to his admission in the next episode. It’s like some part him has already realized that excuse was bs, and for the first time ever, he just can’t vocalize it.

2024-08-20 01:39:31 +0000 UTCTodd is a true textbook psycho lol. Like Dhamer. Uncle Jack is more of a sociopath in that he is far more aware that the things he is doing are wrong but he does them anyway. Todd is so wrapped up in his own little world that he has little concept of right or wrong.

First, he is exiled into living in a cabin away from his family for many months, then he gets blasted by Walt, jr-- IMO, that phone call is worse than any prison term! To have your own son tell you to drop dead!! Walt is so utterly destroyed afterward, he decides to just let the DEA catch him. Also, Jeese's howl of anguish seeing Andrea murdered is just chilling!!!

It's him going through literal hell as a consequence of his actions to get the audience back for the final ep. A fate worse than death. Walt pays dearly, and it almost makes you a little excited for the 3rd worst guy you know to get a W. (Third after Todd and Uncle Jack)
