Great movie, great reaction. I knew Arianna would love this. The twist always hits but it's legit a great movie before that too, funny, surreal, stlish, memorable. Boots Riley writes capitalism from his specific lens like noone else.

2024-07-25 00:54:07 +0000 UTCthis is such a great movie! a really creative exploration of the ways racism/capitalism/the prison industrial complex are all intertwined; it was inspired by the director's experience working as a telemarketer. the director Boots Riley and his band The Coup + the band Tune-Yards made all the music on the soundtrack. if you like reading screenplays this one is pretty interesting; it's labeled "the white version" and includes the names of the real-life counterparts to a lot of the companies/individuals being called out (Motorola, BlackWater, Softbank, etc.)
