So I decided to watch this lovely show again with you two. It’ll be interesting to get a different perspective. Last time, two British blokes, and now two American women. Enjoy the show! It’s so good!

2024-08-09 20:30:12 +0000 UTCThe 1-2 punch of this and Schitt's Creek (I know it didn't start in 2020 but it obviously reached the pinnacle of its popularity right around then) really did save a lot of sanity for people during 2020. And I'm not saying that trying to be hyperbolic; you get feel-good stuff, and I genuinely think those are two of the best feel-good shows ever made, at the same time during an incredibly stressful time? Man, it was SUCH fortuitous timing.

2024-07-20 17:28:17 +0000 UTCA lot of the relationship stuff between Ted and his wife are a commentary on Jason and his ex-wife Olivia Wilde! Its one of the more heart breaking parts if you know the details of their divorce.

I mean there’s people who like the SAW series but I don’t get why people enjoy watching humans get brutally killed and tortured. But like I said some people like corny dad jokes and light hearted comedy and some don’t.

2024-07-20 09:46:49 +0000 UTCWell for someone to push back a bit on that, they would have to know why you don't like the show. Either way it's fine and you don't need to like it. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with it as well, I absolutely adore the first two seasons but I can't stand the third, they just decided to crank up the saccharine nonsense to a 1000 in that season for some reason and tried to pivot from a light-hearted comedy to a more serious dramedy which just doesn't work because it doesn't have anything serious to say.

I won’t be *too* annoying about this, but I’ll just say that I normally can get why people like a show may not understand it but at least I get it. I truly don’t get how this show is as beloved and popular as it is. Don’t think I ever will. That is all. Happy to read the replies about why I’m wrong
