Breaking Bad 5x3

Comments

None of what you said negates what I said lmao

Zane Platt

"Walt poisoning Brock is definitely by far the worst thing Walt's done." Inaction is violence. Walt killed Jane.

Bany

Its almost like Walt isn't as smart as you want him to be. He fucked himself and now he needs to take care of issues he caused.

Bany

"Well Skyler did make the decision to stay, so that's not all on Walt." Walt has now raped her twice during the shows run. He has reveled himself to be a murderer. She is AFRAID of him. Classic victim blamer.

Bany

I gotta agree with Walt about "Legacy cost". That is Mike's problem. From a criminal mind perspective killing them is the only thing that makes sense. If Mike wants to work something out with him that's on him. Walt just took over this and he isn't about to let that much cash just walk out with Mike. Walt poisoning Brock is definitely by far the worst thing Walt's done. From his perspective he calculated Brocks weight, height, size etc. And gave him a non lethal dose. Totally fucked up and insane but that's his thought process. From Jane on it becomes how much shit can Walt do and you still ride with him lol.

Andrew Clifton

Swinging his dick is because of his ego??? Dick swinging is like, the definition of having a big ego??? Morality is right and wrong, not proving you’re right over everyone else no matter what.

cat named toebean

wooooah Matt...first time I'm hearing this take ;)

Chris B

Walt is right about the legacy cost issue. They have 9 guys that can implicate them so long as they are alive and they have already had a situation where one of them was turned loose. At the end of the day, those guys are a loose end that can implicate them if they are ever dissatisfied.

Zane Platt

Lol it’s not “ego” it’s his morals it’s what he feels is right. Walt trying to swing his dick everywhere is why fucks everything up all the time.

Colorado people’s press

I just wish you guys were consistent in why you didn’t like people. You rag on Walt for his ego but the moment Mike gets an ego about his 9 guys he’s paying to do nothing, you’re all “oh snap fuck you Walt!”. Like no? Mike could’ve told them from the beginning that this is why he was coming back. He didn’t have to be an arrogant prick but he wanted to belittle Walt. It’s the same pride and ego Walt has, but apparently when Mike has it it’s a good thing! Gimme a break!

Matt

I hate Walt. I hate Gus. Plus I hate Skylar, Jesse, Marie, Hank, Mike, Tuco, Walt Jr.'s breakfast eating ass, Jane, Saul, and Junk Yard Guy But nobody NOBODY better say anything bad about Steve Gomez.

Fatal Spoon

Jus so you know the guy that plays skinny pete actually plays piano

Rolo 19

Yeah. There’s more I could say about Mike and Walt’s disagreement. But I can’t say it here.

Eric Wall

yeah i suffer from ADHD... Actively Dreaming of Heisenberg's Downfall

Kara

It's a cool + informative line, but you're actually supposed to hit the animal in these situations. "If a collision with the animal seems inevitable, then hit it while maintaining full control of your car is the safest option. The alternative of swerving into oncoming traffic or off of the road surface could be a lot worse." (from The British Deer Society)

Kara

I think probably Mike should have given Walt a heads up re the "legacy costs" but tbf, Walt agreed to let 'the business' side of things be completely owned by Mike which includes costs. We all knew he would never be able to stick to that though. I think we know why Mike is being 'selfish' by not revealing the 9 names haha.

Kara

LoL this breaking bad reaction should be renamed Triggered. Cuz they started off so low energy and by the end their hate for Walt had them ready to do sprints. I love it.

TinCan Cosmanaut

I mean, the real breaking point was his decision to save Jesse from the drug dealers. If Jesse was able to let it go (or Walt willing to let Jesse die), Walt and Gus would not have come into such direct conflict. Sometimes it seems to get cast as if Walt was masterminding Gus’ downfall from the moment they met, but Jesse’s actions very much forced the situation.

Eric Wall

Walt actually does improve with time. The manipulation job he’s doing on Jesse here was not within his grasp in season 4. That season he nearly lost Jesse’s loyalty to Gus and had to go to extreme measures to bring him back. Now he does a much better job of feeding Jesse the kind of positive reinforcement he was lacking last season. The problem is, his feelings for Jesse have never seemed less authentic then now. To be fair to Walt on one point though, Mike should’ve informed him of the extra cost he was bringing rather than springing it on him after the whole operation has already been set in motion. The main reason Walt doesn’t know everything that’s going on is because Mike has been deliberately keeping him in the dark. Even after the meeting, Walt and Jesse still don’t know who these guys are who could ruin the whole operation. It’s information Mike is being selfish with and I’d be annoyed at having it kept from me as well.

Eric Wall

What a pleasant surprise upload. Thanks!! I said it last episode and I'll say it again...you think you hate Walt? hehehe.....just wait...and gosh darn I wish someone would just finally put Walt in his place. He just has to be the man...ol' Walt and his pride........

Tim Martin

In an interview Jesse Plemons said the only information on Todd he was given prior to shooting was from a writer who told him: "you know when you're driving & a deer pops out on the road in front you- do you swerve into the oncoming car on the left or do you go right and crash into the ditch? You hit the deer".

Justin

At this point, Walt has little to no regard for human life. He doesn't want to pay anyone he can kill or threaten.

Munir

Intelligence is a complicated thing. Walt is very smart when it comes to chemistry, manipulation, and improvising. But he lacks the patience and leadership skills that Gus had.

Munir

And he put himself into that position. Almost every awful thing that happens in the show can be traced back to Walt.

Anto

Mike: "Just because you shot Jesse James, doesn't make you Jesse James." Walt: "Mike, I don't think you understand... I'm the main character. I'm Breaking Bad."

Kara

“Why’d you kill him?” Because Gus was previously trying to kill Walt, Jesse and Hank lol. It’s okay to hate Walt, but there’s a lot of blind hatred lol

Tyvonn Johnson

Walt is so full of himself, it's crazy. It's like the character actually feels like the main one, narcissistic to the fullest.

Anto

Walt's greed is out of bounds. He is in the "Empire business" now

Chris Bruneau

Certified walt haters eating good! the pest control tent plan is actually really smart, I bet whichever writer thought of that was very happy lol. Walt trying to talk to Brock was heinous, thought he was about to offer Brock some mysterious berries 😈. The way Walt manipulates Jesse is so heartbreaking, just a few little seeds like Ariana said, and Jesse thinks he's making his own 'right choice' and not doing exactly what Walt wants. To quote Succession, "He only likes the broken you." I forgot how fun the Walt/Mike/Jesse dynamic is. just 3 bald white dudes forced into business together. "Just because you shot Jesse James don't make you Jesse James" lives rent free in my head. 137k per cook, even at say 2 cooks a month, is an astronomical amount of money. Enough to expand the car wash business. Enough to put both kids through college. Remember in S2 that Walt calculated he needed exactly $737,000 for his family? That's 6 cooks.

Kara

Well Skyler did make the decision to stay, so that's not all on Walt. He signed the papers and she helped him. Walts life was in danger at the time with Gus, and he wanted to be on top, that's why he killed him. I think Walt plenty understands. But here's the thing. He doesn't care. When he's on top, he expects to have the same money as Gus. Big shocker, it's about greed. Walts always had an issue with his greed and ego. 😅 Narsaccists are generally actually really good at something, and it leads to their superiority complex. Walt is incredibly good at chemistry. He's very intelligent. I dont think he's diagnosable with the actual disorder, but he's most certainly engaging in narcissistic behaviors.

What an embarrassment of riches

Owen Kosik

Chad, bravo on the quick editing--I was just reading the comments from the last ep, and this popped up. u go, man!!! 2 things; Jesse James was a train robber--how ironic!, and that little speech about Victor is really a threat against Mike not knowing his place in Walt's growing empire! wanted to add, Vince Gilligan said this show is "Mr Chips becomes Scarface" (Mr chips is essentially the same thing as Mr Rogers) so, its entirely appropriate to have Walt watch that movie, and its cool that 2 actors from that film are in the series (Stephen Bauer and Mark Margolis)
