2024-12-22 16:15:10 +0000 UTC"You guys haved begged Walt to embrace being a criminal, which he does, but now complain about it..." Except he still doesnt know the first thing. He is a complete moron when it comes to being a drug lord. Gus showed extreme carefulness and consideration to everything. This is showed explicitly in the episode after Gus, Jesse, and Mike went to Mexico and killed then entire cartel that was trying to control guess. The doctor knew everything about Jesse, just in case. They said it in the post episode conversation, Walt's understanding of the crime life is surface level. He is a brilliant chemist but a shit criminal.

2024-10-26 02:10:02 +0000 UTCI don't know how anyone can watch this show and get to this point and still think Walt is good. The mental gymnastics these Walt apologists must be doing must be exhausting.

2024-10-26 02:02:49 +0000 UTCLOL weird. Walter has now raped his wife twice.

2024-10-26 02:00:51 +0000 UTCOh man ๐๐๐๐ Maple looks like she's going somewhere important and it's doing things to me. ๐๐คฃ๐ Seriously tho. Absolutely stunning.

2024-05-31 16:36:55 +0000 UTCAnd Skyler isn't depressed, she's scared of him

2024-05-30 10:13:04 +0000 UTCIt's so funny whenever they say "we need a whole Mike show"

2024-05-30 10:07:59 +0000 UTCMike is such a stand up guy. It never gets old just how professional he is. He has such faith in his abilities that he doesn't hesitate to believe in his men to not roll to the cops. Obviously after his conversation with Lydia he realized it was likely that there would be an internal threat but even then he is so saddened by the situation he was in. Even though Gus was hyper-successful, he still killed loyal people to make a point, and he still had a kid executed. It's probably a matter of scale that Gus is operating at such a high level so killing a person or two here and there to expedite business and doesn't seem to have a line. Where comparatively Mike values his people and his principles over everything. It's heartbreaking to see Walt's influence on Jesse when you consider that Mike saw such potential in him.

2024-05-30 00:18:09 +0000 UTCIt is less about you guys not liking Walt (I don't 'like' him either) and more about being very inconsistent in terms of judgement. You guys haved begged Walt to embrace being a criminal, which he does, but now complain about it... You guys get angry at him for getting rid of evidence because of the random effect that had but of course he should have gotten rid of the evidence, it was the right decision based on what he knew. You even very oddly act like he is a small fry in Madrigals operation but he wasn't. He was literally the lead cook of all of their meth and the reason the entire operation is fucked now. Walt as a person is vindictive, greedy, self serving and more so not liking him makes perfect sense. I just find the manner in which you condemn him very odd and inconsistent (this was seen with how they praised Gus despite Gus using children, having a kid killed, threatening a baby and more).

2024-05-28 06:30:41 +0000 UTCIf you think he's bad now, wait till you get further in the season. Prepare yourselves!

2024-05-28 02:14:06 +0000 UTCAny people getting mad that you ladies don't like Walt are ridiculous. He is undoubtedly despicable. However.... ๐ For the purposes of fiction it is fun to just indulge in his character (Not what he was doing with Skyler though btw that's never cool. but all the kingpin stuff).

2024-05-27 23:06:49 +0000 UTCMaybe I'd buy this if All Hail the King had nothing to do with where we are in the series when it was released. "All Hail the King" was the title of the promotional poster for Season Five, after he killed Gus, the former "king" of the BB drug world. It also foreshadows what transpires over the course of the season, so that one might read "All Hail the King" as akin to the words "I am Ozymandias, King of Kings" in the Coleridge poem. (I'll leave it at that.) I do not think the marketing had anything to do with Walt's "likability" or with fan service and what a bunch of loud, infantile fanboys thought about Walt, which usually went hand-in-hand with the deplorable hatred directed at Skyler. 24fps makes a valid distinction between Walt's arc over the course of the series and his likability that's worth keeping in mind, the latter being too vague and subjective to cite as a legitimate basis for any interesting, let alone enlightening, public discussions about the show --that is, except insofar as the viewers' sympathy for Walt and their rooting for his success is tied to the evolution of this arc from "Mr. Chips to Scarface," as Vince Gilligan has put it.

2024-05-27 16:32:21 +0000 UTCAnd a lot of those normal people think Jesse is the stand up good guy that they feel sympathy towards
Justin
2024-05-27 13:56:40 +0000 UTCIn some of their marketing they say and I quote โAll hail the kingโ on pictures of Walt. So yes he is very much so likable to the audience
Justin
2024-05-27 13:53:24 +0000 UTCAmazing catch with the color codes on Mike's fridge. Brought to you by Kaylee Ehrmantraut. Also Peter Schuler dying over nothing and the magnet stunt also resulting in the discovery of the hush money plus Mikeโs 11 guys even though the laptop was encrypted
Justin
2024-05-27 05:31:44 +0000 UTCYou both have great questions and yes, they will be answered in the coming episodes. Walt is scum - by design. It's so fun to hate him. I've never experienced a character like Walt who is just so fun so hate, even though we felt sorry for him in the beginning. It's a game of "How far will you ride with Walt". I love ya'lls "Walt rants" . You think you hate him now? Hehehe I say just go ahead and do these last 14 episodes in the next 14 days hahah Just kidding.......

2024-05-27 02:41:55 +0000 UTCMaybe it's just Maple's wishful thinking?

2024-05-27 01:12:38 +0000 UTCyeah maple tends to check em before recording but they just forgot lol i've personally told them twice haha. i'm about as forgetful. it's an uphill struggle for us

2024-05-27 01:11:41 +0000 UTCguys i think they hate walt
MarkyMark
2024-05-27 00:54:22 +0000 UTCanyone defending walt is outing themselves hahaha
Eamon
2024-05-27 00:20:56 +0000 UTCthats crazy lol, its breaking 'bad' him being the bad guy is kinda in the title of the show.
Eamon
2024-05-27 00:18:35 +0000 UTCI mean I get it, but those are the ones you don't pay attention to. There's a clear cut number of people who misunderstand the character and just become Walt apologists. You can appreciate the brilliance of his character while also hating him for his behavior.
Lorenzo Baxter
2024-05-26 23:52:21 +0000 UTCno but people defend him like A LOT and defend his actions and get on the girls for how much they donโt like him.

2024-05-26 23:38:30 +0000 UTCThis ep is just a plot device to get Mike back in. Mike took another half measure...

2024-05-26 23:38:02 +0000 UTCYou all caught it with the color code. Thier is a great video explaining it with Breaking Bad. You can tell the creator put in thought on people's clothes. For Example: Walter White is in green most of the time because of his greed and throughout the show you see Skyler's colors shift from her natural to more green when she is money laundering. The Video is on YouTube if it is still there. Think it was a breaking bad dedicated channel. Saw it years ago.

2024-05-26 21:54:33 +0000 UTCI don't know if you've noticed the way Walt speaks now in S5 but I would consider rewatching his conversation with Mike. It's one of my favorite traits of this character, whether it's intentional or not.
Anto
2024-05-26 20:59:07 +0000 UTC"Season 5 is only 8 episode" S5 was split into two blocks (part 1 + part 2) of 8 episodes, spaced almost a year apart. They could probably be called S5 and S6 tbh. But there are 16 eps (14 left as of this ep). Walt has been an atrocious person but here we see what he's like with no masters or competitors. No Tuco, or Gus, or Cartel Twins. Lots of very, very good stuff coming up I think you'll dig. I love how into Mike you are, and I love Saul being the voice of reason here. When the 'ambulance chaser' money-grabbing lawyer says it might be time to reconsider, you know things are dire. You're soooo right with the scale of the operation too, like we can start to see bits of what Gus' master plan was after killing the cartel (working outside the cartel with Madrigal, building the lab using Madrigal equipment, Lydia's involvement in securing chemicals etc). It was a vast, vast conspiracy that paid everyone well and was essentially bulletproof.... not bomb-proof though ๐
Kara
2024-05-26 18:56:46 +0000 UTC58 min in... Mike is smart and the bomb but he was told they needed the chemical before he asked Lydia
Zech
2024-05-26 18:56:12 +0000 UTCWalter is not supposed to be likably.. but he is interesting to watch... going from milktoast guy to delusional druglord..
24fps_
2024-05-26 18:55:29 +0000 UTCChad, it's maybe a stupid question, but do the girls read these comments? The reason I'm asking is because they are still confused about how many episodes there are in season 5, even though several people already said there are 16 episodes in total in s5.
Andrew
2024-05-26 18:12:21 +0000 UTCI think most normal people saw that Walter was the bad guy or anti-hero when he let Jane die.
Ray H
2024-05-26 17:16:01 +0000 UTCWell no one ever said Walt was a morally strong, or even likable character ๐ I've always said he's simply one of the best written characters ever. Of course you should hate his actions, but I think people misunderstand and conflate that with you just aren't enjoying the show or noticing the brilliant writing. Cause as awful as Walt is behaving, you've got to admire this vast journey. How someone turns this vile, it's such an interesting thing to explore. Brilliantly acted by Bryan Cranston.

2024-05-26 17:01:16 +0000 UTCArianna, glad you are feeling better. missed you guys last week. now on with the final season, yay!
