I just have never liked this episode at all and I still don't, but I enjoyed your review of it.

I've been slack in watching your reactions, my apologies ladies. This is one of my favorite of the entire series.
It's just so beautifully filmed and written.

The soldier that was Mulder was a Confederate uniform. In B&W photos, Union uniforms appear black..

I agree with Shelley, there's no way Sarah/Melissa/Sidney is Mulder's soulmate. It's Scully, we all know that. LOL

But the idea of past lives and how they affect our future & current lives is interesting if you believe in reincarnation. And learning about a past life, does that affect you going forward? I believe in past lives, because of an incident with my son. When he was six we were driving down a freeway alongside Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland. As we exited onto the highway, A pointed out the window to a small strip of land and said "that's where my brother died. He was hit by a vehicle. Mommy was with the paper hangers." One, we've never had another son. Two, the strip of land has been industrial & limited to the Coast Guard and ore freighters for decades (and off limits). Three the term 'paper hangers' was used for wall paper installers back in the 1920s & earlier. It was a freaky experience. Or maybe a Spooky one! LOL
