Lolol I agree with the comments, I don't think it'd make sense for the characters to accept Zuko so quickly, there needed to be distrust at first.

2023-08-23 14:47:01 +0000 UTCLol separate your opinions as a viewer from the opinions of the characters' point of view. They haven't watched Zuko's journey. They've only seen him chasing them and trying to capture Aang, and his betrayal to Katara indirectly led to Aang's death. It wouldn't be realistic at all for them to trust Zuko immediately. And Katara ofc would be the least trusting of him, after what he did at the end of season 2. Toph also wasn't there for most of the terrible things Zuko did, so of course she's less clouded in her judgement. But you can't blame Aang Katara and Sokka for not trusting Zuko.

To forgive someone who's tried to kill or capture you several times is a tall order. It would be unnatural and unearned if the gang just magically forgave all and said yes hi Zuko welcome nice to see you. Additionally Katara trusted Zuko and Aang almost died. Whether Zuko was conflicted or not, his inability to make a decisive decision cost the gang ALOT!!!!! It is unreasonable to think she'd be trusting of him
