Can you believe it? We never even got a chance to met him and yet I feel sad for the real Ezekiel. Heard he was a helluva a guy!

I personally love this season more than season 8, so I'm glad this episode hit so well with you. It's hard losing Kevin, but everything else that happened in this episode is amazing. Now the season is really getting started.

Now you know why gadreel didn't want cas to stay in the bunker, coz if dean told cas about Zeke possessing Sam, he would wanna talk with him & one conversation & he would've known it's not Zeke, poor Kevin, dean can't have friends, i am so mad about Kevin's death too, i hate when they bring back characters just to kill them too! I have anxiety Everytime a beloved character returns because of that, Kevin says that he always gets screwed when helping the winchesters, little did he know, remember last season when he had a message recorded telling the winchesters to screw themselves " i am dead you bastards" & had it set to be sent in case he didn't check in for days? He knew long ago that helping the boys wouldn't end well for him yet he did it anyway, this boy just wanted to be the first asian president of the US, remember when Crowley told him that the winchesters have a habit of using people until they don't need them anymore then they die? Other characters have to die for the winchesters man pain, Great reaction, Shelley π

What an episode, one of my favorites of the season. Gadreel running off in Sam. Kevin, poor sweet Kevin getting the extreme short end here. Metatron comes out of the literal shadows in this one. Cas grabbing another angel's grace! With all of that and my favorite moment is: "Cas is back in town"

Ok so this is going to be a long one. i want to correct you. Gadreel WAS healing sam. You miss heard his talk with Metatron. He was talking about how dean and sam are both a mess.
Gadreel is a strong parallel to Sam and Cas.
Both so desperate for redemption last season and that putting them on the wrong path to try and fix their mistakes.
Now here is something to think about. Gadreel was trying so hard to avoid angels because he did not want to be involved in factions similar to the angel that answered cas prayer or the minion that cas killed.
So if dean had not got him involved he would never have taken the "better" deal. He thinks that doing what he is doing is for the greater good.
He also told metatron that is not who he is when he told him to kill and he specifically did not kill dean even though he could have.
Now Cas this episode also says something about becoming a barbarian when he kills and takes the grace then kills the human the angel had possessed." I did what i had to" is the line that shows that all the angels are so desperate that what they are doing things they normally would not do. I do not like that gadreel killed kevin but i understand why.
Last episode they talked about comfort and seeking religion when your other relationships are not strong enough. Gadreel has turned to religion in a sense.
Now kevin death sucks but i think it is very symbolic. Dean kept dragging people into the hunting life and kevin was always a parallel to Sam and the way dean treats both of them.
This is the cost of being in this life and dragging that person along makes it worse when they are killed because then it is your fault.
Dean made some bad choices and kevin paided the price.
Great episodes like this are why you gotta be patient and trust the show will deliver.

Another Mid-Season Finale delivers to pain and cliffhanger.
This is a long one - take a seat. lol
This was really fun to watch you react to. sorry, but it was!
I hated that they killed Kevin! I guess the writer figured he needed to die to create the drama level they wanted. They rarely used him, after a good start at the beginning of the season. I wish they had him in more episodes.
The reason Gadreel wouldn't let Dean tell Cas what was going on was because Cas knew who Ezekiel was and would be able to tell that it wasn't Zeke possesing Sam. Cas would want to talk to Zeke, of course. He would know right away that it wasn't him. So Gadreel didn't want him around or knowing that Zeke was possesing Sam. But I agree that he should have told Kevin. At least at the end here. Kevin would have known to be careful around Sam. But maybe that was too risky, as Kevin might not play it cool enough and Gadreel would know something was up.
Gadreel has been healing Sam. His change seemed to come after talking with Metatron. I think Gadreel really was trying to be good. He didn't want to be around other angels because they would know what he did. I think he did use Dean, so he could have a host to hid in, but I think he did want to prove he was Good by healing Sam. What his plans were after that, who knows. Maybe he was drawing things out and taking longer to heal Sam than was needed. On the king of creepy side, Gadreel likely had access to Sam's memories and thoughts, so he'd know Sams story. I'd think that would make him relate to Sam and so respect him more, and he'd know how Sam felt about Dean.
We can see in this episode who obsessed Dean is with keeping Sam alive. He just can't sit back and let him die, and so then he makes bad decisions. It was a surprise that he allowed him to say Yes to Lucifer in season 5. But he couldn't let him go alone. Maybe doing that in season 5, and what came after, made it even harder for him to let Sam go after that.
It was nice to see Cas back in the game. Even if he'd stayed human, he was doing pretty good.
I don't think Dean is going to handle this very well. Sam being gone, Kevin dead. And knowing that it's his fault. I agree that he shouldn't have let Zeke/Gadreel possess Sam.

It was hard to watch you being so excited during the episode while knowing what was going to happen at the end. Your reaction was great, all the way through. Dean was so close to getting rid of Gadreelβ¦with the tip from Cas and great work from Kevin to quickly figure out the spell. Such a great team and because stupid Gadreel overheard then, now we have lost Kevin. Although I guess technically Metatron is the cause of Kevinβs death (though Dean letting Gadreel in and hiding it from everyone provided the opportunity). I agree with what Citizen of Earth said aboveβ¦ Metatron is a villain I love to hate and he is right up there as one of my most despised villains. So rude to kill Kevin. At most he was just 20 years old!
