I think it is very interesting how the fandom has such a divided opinion about Azula. One part hates her guts and the other part thinks she is so cool. I believe it comes down to the question whether you like fictional characters because they're great or because they're good. In fiction we have the privilege to fall in love with villains, something we can't do in reality. We can appreciate evil characters for their cunning, wit and appearance despite their bad traits and actions that would make us hate them in the real world.
