2023-03-19 07:58:04 +0000 UTCGreat reaction, LOVE this series, especially S1. I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I actually really enjoyed season 2. Maybe because I accepted very early on that it was going to be different from S1. I think it gets a bad wrap because of that, it's too often compared to 1. But it's a different tone and texture. Now, season 3, to me, was a snooze fest. I felt sooo let down by that season. I'd recommend watching S2 even if you don't react, just to get a feel for how the series changes. I'm VERY excited for S4 later this year!!

2023-03-17 04:21:44 +0000 UTCThis show is so good and so dark that I really have a love/hate relationship with it but it's soooo good. McCohnaughey plays his older self so well. The way he thinks is logical, but so crazy to everyone else that you can't blame the younger cops for including him as a suspect.

2023-03-16 19:54:03 +0000 UTCThat is truly one of the most beautiful endings in the history television. The amount of development and evolution we witness is staggering. Marty and Rust going from being begrudging partners that want almost nothing to do with each other, to friends that will never be able to be separated. Marty goes from being a selfish and miserable person to a man that seems to be content and more at peace. Cohle goes from being a pessimistic nonbeliever to an optimistic believer of something beyond our experience. Earlier in the series, Rust is looking over photos of various victims, and comments on how they looked at peace because they realized how easy it was in the end to just let go. Yet, whenever he faced the same potential fate, he realized that letting go was not as easy as it once seemed. There is so much more to comment on that you could write a dissertation on it. Having said all of this, if you loved this, I implore you to consider reacting to The Sopranos. In my opinion, and in the opinion of many others, it is one of the greatest pieces of art ever made. I am talking Mona Lisa and Statue of David levels of excellence. I know it is a long series, but it is totally worth it. Never has a show captured the human condition better than The Sopranos. It truly changed my life.
