I love the way you always look for parallels in the side story with Sam and Dean. I do agree that Kate is different as she has never killed a human, while Amy had killed more than one, as had Madison. I loved this episode. I also loved the Ghostfacers, though, and I know some people don't like the third person POV of the Winchesters. Glad you did too :)

2022-12-26 00:16:33 +0000 UTCI think Dean’s time in purgatory has given him a different perspective regarding the gray area. He seems to be really good friends with vampire, Benny. Dean before purgatory would never be friends with a vampire. But, Benny has earned Dean’s trust. In 8x01. They hugged goodbye and Benny called Dean “brother.” Regarding Madison, she didn’t want to live as a werewolf because she was afraid she would hurt more people, so she asked Sam to kill her. That’s why he was crying at the end because Dean couldn’t do it for him. When we see Dean at the end of “Heart” he teared up because he would’ve done anything to spare Sam that pain and he couldn’t.
