I really like how the episode is fairly lighthearted until it isn't. It sticks in my mind in a haunting way. They captured just how tiring seeing everyone's death would be. Choosing to be an insurance salesman is probably one of the most beneficial things he could do with that ability. Suicide is a interesting end for the possible coexistence of free will and fate. Also Clyde being able to have/see a post death moment that comforted him because of his ability, even though he would die alone in quite a sad way.
Also a shout out to Jaap Broeker who plays the Stupendous Yappi and his eyebrow acting abilities. Agree it has a similar mood to Humbug for most of it until the end. It feels a bit heavier on rewatches to me though.

I watched this reaction since I remember it to be an iconic episode(highest rated of the season). All I remembered was that he dies at the end. I certainly did not remember the autoerotic asphyxiation prediction. 😂 Loved Peter Boyle’s performance. He makes the character so compelling to watch.
