Gordon is definitely a good character, and a great villain. And you're right, if he really had been ready to follow through with what he stood for, he would have killed himself immediately. Instead, he became a real monster, basically giving the boys a good reason to finally kill him. Bela, on the other hand, is a character that you seem to like a lot, but I definitely don't share your appreciation. She's probably one of the characters I like the least, in fact. I dislike her and her entire subplot for the season. But I always like to see your reactions to her character, that's for sure. I also noticed that it took you a while to recognize Harmony from Buffy. I thought you were going to recognize her the moment she appeared! xD And by the way since she appeared as a vampire here, just like she was in Buffy and Angel, I've always believed it was some kind of homage to Buffy and I definitely liked it. As for Sam, I love the fact that you're starting to have so many doubts about him after what Azazel said to Dean. I'm loving that part of your reactions so much! :D

2020-11-12 16:41:40 +0000 UTCLove, love, love this episode. Gordon was an amazing villain. And I wish we could've gotten more from him! But also, this was a perfect sendoff. He becomes the thing he hunted? Poetic justice. Also the way he died, barbed wire and all, was gruesome and so insanely chilling. I was blown off my feet when I first saw little Sammy do that. And that brother moment? One of the most memorable Sam and Dean scenes to me. When Sam asks Dean to act normal and just "be his brother again"? Sobs! I tear up everytime! OH, AND HARMONY!!! It would've been so cool if they'd sent her to the group of good vampires! Then we would've gotten a Tara and Harmony team up. Damn, if only! I do feel so horrible for her though. She was turned without consent. She thought she was hallucinating. It just sucks so bad. I wish there was a way they could've helped her... But nope! Slice and dice. To give Sam and Dean the benefit of the doubt, I honestly don't know what the could've done. I mean, they don't have "Tara" on speed dial. It's just a bad situation all the way around. Like you said "very gray". Plus, Sam, who's usually the empathetic puppy, didn't even argue the point! He's different than the Sam from "Blood Lust", that's for sure. Anyways, love this episode. 10/10. It had Harmony/Lucy, Bela, and Gordon! Lovely cast! If only Ruby would've made an appearance 😂
