Hi there, maybe the name is wrong 3x4 not 2x4 ?

I like that the series really made you question everything this season. It seems to be a familiar theme in many of the episodes. Not everything is black and white. I had a hard time deciding if Sam was different or not, but I thought that either way, he was justified in being somewhat ruthless with demons. I mean, they were the reason his entire life had been the way it was, and continues to be this way. From the moment Azazel fed him demon blood, and having to face that they are also the reason his brother is going to be taken from him. In his mind, that's reason enough to be brutal.

I am so glad you liked this episode. I really like it too. Some people don't and I never understood why. I like it for all the same reason's you did too. I love these heavy info episodes. This one gave us a lot, and tickled my brain. It was good to see Ruby and Bobby in this too. I liked seeing that Bobby was there for the boys. He was definitely building a place in my heart by this point. When I saw this the first time, I thought the problem with the town was similar to the first episode. That some demon was in town and influencing people to do bad things. But it was something different. The lady demon does seem to have some more power than others we've known. I really liked the one on one conversation she and Dean had. I think we saw a little bit of Dean working hard to maintain his cavalier attitude about Hell. I do think, though, that he actually is relieved. In some way.

This does seem to be a pivotal episode. And for a show geared toward action, it is all the different conversations that move the story forward. They are all very interesting, of course Dean and Casey's being the most consequential and informative. But Sam and the father as well as in the end with Ruby. There was a level of tension in each one. I really like this one too. I wasn't expecting another episode till Sunday or so, so thanks for posting. I'm hiding from the news and it's nice to have someplace to go!

Such a fantastic episode! Oh, and an Azazel name reveal! We can finally start calling him by his name. Yellow-eyed demon was horrible to type out again and again! The plan of Sam being the leader was revealed (and how, since he hasn't stepped up to the plate, other demons were viving for power). Other world build-y things happened. So much foreshadowing it's ridiculous. Wow. Such an amazing episode. I seriously think the scene where Casey and Dean are talking is one of my favorite Supernatural moments. It really shifts a lot of things around. Black and white rules that have been established are quickly turning shades of grey. And even Dean noticed that. He connected with her, obviously, to the point where he told Sam not to shoot her (and then Sam shot her without hesitating!). It's so interesting. Especially since it was DEAN that sympathized with a demon. He's usually so much more strong willed in his hatred for them. I mean, a demon killed his mom, he has a vendetta and bias. But you'd think it'd be Sam that'd have the connection with the demon, as he has demon blood in him. Kind of a role reversal. I love it! 10/10. We learned so much here. And I'm so excited for you to see what happens next! ❤

I personally didn't have an issue with the audio, I mean, it was there but it didn't make it difficult to enjoy the episode. But maybe that's just me :) I really like this episode. I struggle to use the word love, because what I love is the Dean & Casey stuff, while the rest if enjoyable but not perfect. But overall it's definitely a strong one, out of the 4 you've seen so far. It's so weird to re-watch the first two seasons and realize that Azazel's name doesn't come up until S3. I mean, in S1 they didn't even know that he had yellow eyes until the finale :D Dean and Bobby aren't very convincing, are they? I don't think they even managed to convince themselves, let alone each other. It is a question of morality; using the gun/knife versus not. Using it means a quicker, safer end and the demon will never return, but the human body dies. Whereas not using it means that the demon will someday return from hell (Meg!Demon anyone?) but you save the human. And now, with the grey that comes in, it muddies the waters even more. I love the world-building this show does, seriously. Also, when talking about great music cues, I always forget the use of CCR's Run Through the Jungle here, it's great! This was my first time watching in real-time since I joined Patreon a few days ago (I've been busy binging your OUAT and SPN reactions all week) and I'm glad to be able to start really digging into the comment section of this. Do you have set days for posting and is it twice a week? Great reaction, can't wait for the next one :D
