Once Upon a Time - 2x20 "The Evil Queen" Full Reaction

Regina's bad actions are absolutely her own, but lets not discard what got her to this point: devestating heartbreak which Snow was about half responsible for. Then the training from Rumple, he didnt just teach her magic, he nurtured the spark of Regina's hatred into a flame and then fanned it until it consumed and blinded her. Then, each time she did slightly consider backing down Rumple continued to egg her on and eveyone else treated her like she was born an evil heartless blacksouled monster who is not even capable of being anything else. I mean, when someone does something bad and then they later try to see reason (change/seek redemption whatever) it is okay to still hold them responsible for what they did, but to then say nope, you did this thing yesterday and today you are starting to show remorse but we are going to take the action prior to your change and use that to enforce the idea that you will never change, that is just as shortsighted as Regina causing harm and saying she is the good guy. Also, again, these "heroes" are in the wrong when it comes to plotting to abduct Henry from his real mother, Regina, and then all leave and go back to the Enchanted Forest without Regina, so in the case of Regina finding the beans and taking them I do not fault her, sure her plan to then kill them all and escape with her son is too far. But, just because Regina is wrong for that, does not make Emma and Snow an the rest right for what they have planned.

Thanks! I've seen TVD, and Damon was never my favorite. There are actually some really good parallels between Damon and Regina. Honest reactions are definitely the way to go!

I just want to say that I REALLY appreciate your rational and balanced view of Regina. I love Regina so much, but it's a process, and I don't believe we can truly appreciate someone's good deeds if we make excuses for their bad ones. It's important to always want the best, but also to call out the worst, and I love that you stay true to what you see. I'm doing reactions to Vampire Diaries season 2 right now, and I was having that same problem in season 1 with Damon... people really jumped on me every time I was upset with him, and I considered not saying what I thought so much anymore, but I found that even MORE people appreciated an honest reaction than a manufactured one. Anyway, love your reactions! Stay safe and healthy!
