Reaction: priceless. The moment of realization that the devastated place where Dean and Bobby had gotten was actually the Roadhouse... XD Loved it! But poor Ash, I agree with that, I loved that character.
And Sam... well, that's one of the reasons why it would always be better to watch the two finale episodes together for this season!

Shelley—please watch the previouslies, aka “The Road So Far” in every season finale. No spoilers are ever included, and you MUST hear The Song Of Our People! It’s played over the montage at the beginning, and is the ULTIMATE theme song for this show, so pleeeease DONT skip it!

37:31 - 37:38 All people watching this episode for the first time: "Oh, NO, Sam, don't kill Jake, don't give into what demon wants!" Everyone else: "KILL HIM!!!" Thanks for this amazing reaction!

My comment disappeared! :( Luckily, I remember most of what I wrote!
OH, HERE COME THE TEARS. I’M STILL CRYING. NEED TO TAKE A BREATHER...
Okay, whew. I’m okay. So, first of all, RIP Ash, the Roadhouse, Andy, Lily, Ava, other Roadhouse patrons, AND SAM. RIP SAM! OH SHIT. NOOOOOO! I’M CRYING AGAIN. Calm down! Okay. I forget how emotional this episode makes me. Especially Dean’s little sad face at the end. Gahhhh. Too many tears. Need to move onto lighter topics… at light as this episode can be, that is.
What was Ash going to say? What did he know that caused the entire Roadhouse to be burned down? Also, why was his name foreshadowing his death??? Kripke is kind of an asshole in that respect. Like, what a horrible pun! LOL
“She knew you.” Never has a concept excited me more than Mary apparently knowing the yellow eyed demon. Like, WTF. And now we know that she wasn’t even supposed to die? She just interrupted the demon bleeding into Sam’s mouth. And that was just a nasty visual. Especially with the demon talking creepily about mother’s milk during it. EW. I always get the heebie jeebies. But basically, it’s revealed that Sam has demons blood in him. AND THAT’S SCARY.
I think the whole “honing their powers” thing is exactly what turned Ava evil. I don’t know. It’s implied that she went mad with power, I think. Especially power that was gifted from demons' blood (or at least, that’s what was implied—with the yellow eyed demon saying that his blood was “stronger than mothers milk”, which means it either enhanced natural abilities or gifted them to the kids). So, Sam growing stronger with his visions is considered bad. At least, that’s what we’re led to believe. Dean and John would definitely think so. As they’re all “everything is black and white”. And Dean is actually very biased against Sam’s powers, if you pay attention. Even subconsciously, he constantly takes jabs at what Sam can do. It’s like, if Dean can understand something, it scares him. But I still think that Sam could keep a level head. He has too much good in him to give into the “dark side”. I mean, he spared Jake. I think he could handle it. Exactly like Andy did. He developed and evolved his powers but it didn’t turn him bad? I don’t know! It’s an interesting discussion that I can’t talk too much about without spoilers sneaking through.
So yeah, this episode is amazing. 10/10, no hesitation.
I can’t wait for the next part! It’s so awesome. One of my favorite season finales! Thank you, Shelley! Let's hope this one doesn't disappear!

It always seems like Sam was never really that keen on using his powers. He probably picked up on Dean kind of being unsettled by it. But holy crap, their mom recognized Yellow Eyes and Sammy has demon blood in him. Now he didn't give into to whatever Ava did and kill Jake so that's a plus. I noticed it ended like it started with Dean yelling "Sam!" Hope you watch the recap next episode cause you missed a good one for this episode. The premier and finale recaps are worth it alone for the great musical cues, so I hope you consider it. Great reaction Shelley, I cried right along with you at the end. There are a bunch of episodes throughout the seasons I can't get through without crying even now. I can not wait for the finale, I hope you are able to post Saturday. If not I will take it when I can get it.

I took a peek to the end part and your comments. One thing I thought of about Sam's powers is that the concern Bobby and Dean - and maybe Sam - have is that if Sam uses his powers, he'll become like the other psychic kids who seemed to go bad when they used their powers. I took this to mean that there's a risk for Sam to "open up" as Ava says, because maybe he'll turn bad.
