Office Hours Excerpt #5: Developing Lower Pitched Feminine Voices with Amy

Hi everyone! This was a really instructional moment from my previous office hours session. In this clip, Amy expressed concern about how her voice "falls apart" at lower pitches. This problem is very common and typically happens due to a few different reasons. One very useful technical approach is to practice a dichotomy of lower feminine voices -- one being brassier and heavier while the other is lighter and breathier. These "modes" can act like extremes to then be blended more later on. Developing these coordinations in a feminine quality will assist in easily maintaining ideal sound when the pitch naturally drops lower during speech.
