General Thoughts on Tongue Positioning - Video

In this, we discuss the general structure and behavior of the tongue during voice feminization.

My voice coach's explanation is something similar to vocal twang which makes the pharyngeal space works like a pipe-like resonator of a wind instrument. But I think more space means darker resonance in R1, so I am confused about it.

2021-02-01 18:32:33 +0000 UTCI find while curving my tongue, it also helps to create a brighter sound if I open my pharyngeal space by contracting the muscles back at the neck. It feels like when you suck the thumb hard and it helps to reduce the nasal sound too.
