the setting: witched out of my mind, completely empty room, Halloween, under a full moon, clamorous house, freedom of expression, harmonic clouds, and i'm crushin'

I felt some kind of way and wanted to make something to thank all my supporters. I get a lot of questions about singing in a feminized voice yet haven't really shared my singing outside of composed pieces. This entire 17 minute chant was improvised over the course of ~35 minutes. I edited the footage down a bit to keep some of the highlights. I edited it in one sitting which is exciting because then I can release a big resonance vid I'm working on in a few days while still having a vid :)

I think this work best shows where I am in terms of singing overall at the moment. With focused effort I have many different vocal options, however, this work is me singing truly unfiltered and from the heart without any concern to specific technique or presentation. I left a few mistakes in. I normally don't crack the highest notes but I've been rough with my folds all day :D

All of this is spontaneously created. The laptop(s) are playing just intonated drone structures. A lot of this chant was done over the tridecimal min9 and it's inversion.

The lyrics are just me vibin' on how I feel.
