Piano Improvisation: Exhaled (10 minutes)
Added 2019-07-10 18:00:03 +0000 UTCHere is an epic take from an improvisation session the other evening. I really felt I was reaching many new places. This is one cut, one take. I'm sure there are some errors in it. When playing that evening I felt I explored so many new concepts and musical ideas I've never considered before. This is essentially a recording which is a look at my live musical invention and philosophizing.
There is some weird and kooky stuff in here. I felt like I was doing a significantly better job than usual thinking about independent voices and controlling the texture with greater awareness. There is also some bizarre harmonies which I worked on extracting beauty from: Lydian b9, Dorian b9 split 13, Lydian augmented 7th #13 #9, and some truly random accidental sonorities I forced myself to try and control.
I hope you all enjoy this! I'd love to release more improvisations if this is something my patrons appreciate!
