Unless you’re talking about the parts when you were going up higher in your registry/range…well then, yes, you did get a LiTtLe BiT sQuEaKy. 2025-01-23 10:11:04 +0000 UTCaw this put me in such a good mood after watching a sad series finale tonight lol i have to admit i was also kinda unsure about this song the first time i heard it but am firmly team love it by now too! their vocals go so crazy well together and, like you said, that bass!! love!! also semi off topic (sorry lol) but every time you mention the open vowels thing i just think that you’d probably enjoy the korean singer Kang Daesung, he has such a rich, big, beautiful voice!

I love Bruno Mars and Silk Sonic and I think it's because Bruno in many ways reminds me of Stevie Wonder in the 70s. It's given Lady GaGa a beautiful platform into 1970s soul/Motown that really suits her voice. I'm glad you nerded out on it because musically I think it's beautiful. I get goose bumps at the exact same moment as you!!

Also, I didn't know you had to type out all of the chords yourself!?! These two together are just an absolute powerhouse, it makes me and my band feel pathetic whenever we try to play it 😭 The drums are SO fun to play OMG!! When I got the hang of it, istg I was freaking out silently because it’s just so SCRUMPTIOUS 😂 Especially that part right before the chorus (“so I’mma love you every night like it’s the last night…”) ughhh too good!!! We’re performing this on the 31st too, so hopefully I don’t end up losing this enthusiasm out of trauma 😂

I'm smiling from ear to ear, this was just pure bliss 🥰🎶 I'm happy that this song has grown on u, since it's such an ear candy with Bruno and Gaga 🙂 I loved hearing u sing those parts of the song, u sound great 🥰🎶 I like that u talked more about the drums and also the singing theory (how u would sing certain parts etc)! Very interesting stuff! I didn't know that one can buy songs like that and cool that u do that 😎 Kinda respectful thing to do towards other artists. And I agree that smoking is disgusting. It does have that certain old timey esthetics in it though, but I think it was a bit unnecessary on this video since it already had the clothes, venue etc to create the atmosphere... First as you’re pointing out various things while watching the video, and then during your break down. It always helps to viewers want to know more and to pay more attention to what’s going on. I know it does for me, at least. They do both sound amazing in this song and look great in the video!! The only problem I have with it is her cigarette. Especially while she’s singing. It’s never a good look for anyone, imho. Their matching outfits are nice too. I can’t put a finger on the time period/era that it reminds me of…same with Gaga’s wig. Although the wig is kinda reminiscent of a’70’s and early’80’s Dolly Parton. Gaga pulls it off well. When they start singing, um, belting together…it’s soooo beautiful!! Their harmonies are *chef’s kiss*!! Thank you so much for sharing another fun breakdown video with us!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻 **Disclaimer** I’m not trying to sound like “I’m better than anyone” with what I said about the cigarette. It's just humbling to see Lady Gaga crying being grateful because it's not easy to compromise with a 50-50 win. To me, this collaboration is a 100-100 win for them both. Both artists get to flaunt their respective flamboyantly colorful peacock feathery voices, yet neither dominates or feels the need to outshine the other in order to do so. And those harmonies in relation to the instruments— mmmm! It’s delicious! I totally agree with you, it really is perfectly executed.
