2024-10-21 21:12:08 +0000 UTCI'll share my story, it's something I felt bad about but in recent years I've come to terms with it. My parents met at a rehabilitation center, my mom was the counselor and my dad was a patient there. Yeah. I had no idea, my mother told me this like 15 years ago and my father confirmed it. I was really upset and ashamed to hear this, especially because my childhood was pretty dysfunctional and both my parents have not been pleasant to me since a kid. Today at 37 years old, I realize I shouldn't be ashamed of how my parents met and it doesn't define who I am as a person today. I've seen and dealt with a lot of trauma/hardships, but I have learned to overcome a lot of them. I think I'm a decent human being, I try hard to be. I've had a stable full time job for years now and have been self sufficient independent on my own. I still struggle a lot mentally, But I always try my best to stay positive and realize things could be a whole lot worst.

For some reason, I imagined if people were saying negative things out of politeness: “Hello, … ! You look tired and your breath smells! Have a nice day!” Felt sorry for making you read not really useful text with bad words (uh oh!). Decided to share some story to kinda fix it. First, thought about offering a funny bicycle accident, but it was not about relationships, wouldn’t fit. Instead considered telling about my (newly discovered) unhealthy attitude to friendship, wrote a paragraph and cancelled it, because whine-not. Now a monkey is hitting cymbals in my head, so I admit, I failed, I surrender. Thanks for your time and have a joyful rest of the week! And good luck in Nashville!

2024-10-18 15:10:25 +0000 UTCMy mom met my legal dad in India - they were both Australians traveling there. But he turned out to be sterile, so my mom asked a colleague to donate sperm, creating me. When I was 4, my parents divorced and my mom got together with my bio dad. And I have a brother who is 7yrs younger - legal half bro, full sibling tho. There’s some drama (including losing most of my left index finger in an accident) I left out but man I’ve experienced some crazy stuff starting very young.
