But I think the stuff that’s less technical, like emotion and storytelling and connection, are what’s important (and fun, and hard) in music. The nerdy stuff should always be in service of the human side. I think that balance is tricky, and I 💯 agree with what you said about how Joel gets it really right on his channel.

I didn't mind the darkness of it so much, 'cos that highlighted the topic, people scrolling on the phone late at night with the blue light shining on their faces, perhaps a bit sad etc...

I'm not musician, but I find it interesting and mind-blowing when other people can list chords etc or start playing some songs just like that 😁 I think there has been good balance of nerdy stuff and fun stuff on Joel's channel 🙂

I’m not sure how good it is for a thumbnail though but I’ve definitely caught certain emotions/message through it (and nope, I’m not talking about those big red words). P.S. the sarcastic answer to the question means you don’t want to answer that question honestly or just don’t know what to say and be nice at the same time 😉

But, on the other hand, it’s very different from any of your other types of thumbnails. So, for me, I think that just because it is different, I will definitely click on it…if you were either someone I didn’t follow, or someone I do follow but not constantly. (Did I make any sense?!) But, of course, since I do consistently follow you and your channel; I will click on that thumbnail no matter what. Also, I’m not sure if it’s just my phone, but the camera with your beautiful face on it was a bit blurry…in other words, your camera was being just “A Little Bit Pitchy” this evening. I have your dad’s song “Humble Servant” on my “Roomie” playlist. In the song when Linnea does her saxophone solo, it sounds so cool and has a kind of pep to it. Q: One of the times you go back to Sweden, do you think she’ll be able to…or even want to do a jam session with you, maybe record a song with you?! You on your piano and vocals, and her playing her sax (and vocals…if she wants to). Do you think she’d be willing to be filmed?! Honestly, I really enjoy those parts of the song. 😁🙏🏻🙏🏻

Re the thumbnail, tbh I don't think I would randomly click on it. It kind of looks like it's about actual addiction, haha. Also, what you said about how a lot of us aren't musicians and how you don't want to turn into some theory channel: I am a musician and I am way less interested in videos about chords than I am in fun stuff. Especially now that I watch less YouTube, the nerdy channels are what tend to fall off my radar these days. Not that I speak for all musicians, but just to say I don't think it's an either/or.
