I have played quite a few "adult" games, and this one can be at least called one. I know it always depends on what you think is tolerable, but in the end, it's just a game. I must admit that the police scenes were not my cup of tea, but the rest is nicely done. You can interact a lot and your decisions matter. I also prefer playing a female character rather than a guy. So many other "adult" games are so dull, with endless boring, meaningless conversations that you couldn't care less about. Here the conversations are kept at a nice level and are entertaining. My opinion: Perfect job in creating an adult game.
