You were right on the guns raised at the end part, where the Eldians transformed into the Titans that suddenly. Furthermore, they were not aware of the transforming gas, we were. Also, I also have to empathize with that general or whoever he was, he had to do his job. I kind of appreciate the overall framing of that moment, as it made me think "Will the fighting EVER end?" So yea, dope finale. Thank you Anguis!

To my understanding and this is just my opinion, Ymir had a kind of stock Holme syndrome. Also think more than 20% of humanity died. Another 5%-10% had to have died after the rumbling. The amount of animals and plants that went extinct, the resource loss, spread of disease from the corpses and lack of food and shelter should’ve killed more.

This is the one I've been waiting for! You were great! Great reaction to the great final episode of a great story! I think the guns raised at the end simply reflected the horror of witnessing the immediately prior transformations of the Eldians into titans - the Marleyans wouldn't have understood the full context of end of the power of the titans. I think you're the only reactor who got Eren, via the bird, wrapping the scarf around Mikasa, again.

I wouldn't label the ending as trash. I am confident that Isayama sensei gave it his all in rounding it up (and perhaps also agonized over it). But too many elements were slotted in seemingly out of convenience and out of the blue to have me deem the ending 'Attack on Titan' worthy. Ymir was in love with Fritz? Eren chose Mikasa's wishes over his mom's life? And heck even some random stranger's life in Shiganshina over his mom's? Zeke and Armin just 'convinced' all their past titan acquaintances like that? Why and how did Ymir choose Mikasa, who wasn't even Eldian? How much did Eren really 'try' avoiding the future? Did he completely lose his mind and sense of agency after having kissed Historia's hand? So is the story just trying to raise awareness on the ill effects of mental illness? For an anime that I grew to love due to all the bits and pieces always making sense in the end, having all the character motivations made realistic and reasonable, and for having always embodied the 'show don't tell' philosophy, it irks me to say that this ending has been a letdown for me. A few more chapters of narrative could have tied all the knots. But I guess it is what it is. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it, Noble :) Found your channel because of it. And it's been great fun watching you watch it. Hope you can spare time watching Junior High. I promise it's fun!
