Process Summary:
1 - Song Familiarisation
· Listening
· Establish Key
2- Arrangement Process Part One: Chord Melody
· Learn Chords
· Learn Melody
· Basic Chord-Melody: slowly stitch chords and melody together
3- Arrangement Process Part Two: Creative
· Start by filling out the space (arpeggiate more notes, or add strums)
· From here, there are more artistic decisions to be made. It comes down to want you want:
· Technique: add a slap-flick, travis-picking, Boom-Chick,
· Genre: Twist the style: as is or make it Jazz, Classical, Bossa, Reggae etc.
· Elements: change harmony (reharmonisation/add substitutions), change time signature, change feel (swing to straight) add more to the melody etc.
4. Execute
· Practice until nailed (record iPhone demos until you’re going through it start to finish)
· Perform/Film/Record
If you do take this on, please film and send in!!
Cheers.

Thanks Ro for this video! Really interesting the analysis you've made and see the way you approach on a song you are going to arrange in fingerstyle. I liked it a lot!
