General Update - June 2025

I haven't been active lately, so I thought I'd write an update on where things are at and what all is in the works. Some of this is semi-public information if you watch the streams, so I thought I'd write a centralized update post making sure everyone is aware of the current status without needing to watch hours of stream content.

The Bike Trip

While this isn't a main project, it is important to go over first to inform where every other project is in the timeline. Two months ago I secretly started a coast-to-coast bike trip through the Fallout setting. This is in-progress, although I have been home for a couple weeks getting some other work done, but I still have a few weeks to go to complete the trip.

I have been recording the trip and trying to get footage useful for the Fallout video. The plan is to make it a video in it's own right. As a bonus, I am donating a dollar for every mile I ride on this trip. When the bike trip video gets released, there will also be a charity drive so if you are considering donating as well, you can do so then.

I actually started planning this a full year ago, well in advance of when the Fallout project was announced. This was one of the main reasons I chose to do Fallout as a topic.

Fallout 3 / New Vegas

This is the current Quick Retrospective project. The rough draft was completed at roughly 139k words, which currently puts it about even with the Oblivion video. There are still a few topics I'd like to cover, but what is preventing finalization is that there is still a metric ton of research left to do. One of these games would've been a considerable amount more work than the average video I've done, but both has left me with an actual mountain of information.

At this time, I'm considering moving the release date to 2026, however that actually isn't the worst thing. I think the topic merits the extra work to make it the best video possible, and unlike the WoW video I'm still enthusiastic about this project. There is another topic I think has to be covered before Fallout 3 as well, which is Shattered Space.

Shattered Space | Starfield Followup

This idea has been growing on me for some time, especially as I've been thinking about it on my bike trip. The plans are tentative but I would like to go over some of the new information, try to approach the game from a different angle, as well as cover the DLC that I already own from buying the Premium Edition way back when. I'm thinking this may be the holiday release this year, rather than New Vegas.

Oblivion Remastered

This is one of the projects I'm tackling during my break from the trip. I already have the script written and recorded, so there should be some TES content coming down the pipeline shortly. This is the main thing I am personally working on and will finish before I continue my odyssey.

Oblivion Audio Update

Over the years, people have been asking me to upload the Quick Retrospectives to dedicated audio streaming platforms such as Spotify. Rather than just ripping the MP3s from YouTube and posting those, I've decided to take the opportunity to update the audios with new information, corrections, and additions. The first project I chose being Oblivion because it's the most popular.

I've already reviewed, written, and recorded the new information and there will be at least 23 minutes of new content. As well, I've managed to pull all of the original audio from the Oblivion video into dedicated tracks, which means it can easily be re-worked. Thankfully, the work of re-compiling the audio is being outsourced, which means that it will not eat up significant time that could've gone to new projects being produced.

Spartan Ops video

This has been a long time goal, but I've always wanted to do a video showcasing the insanity of Halo 4's Spartan Ops campaign. I've finally found a way that I'm happy with. It will be a bit of a different project than usually, like a side video with an attached play-through of the streams that were done a week ago. I have already written and recorded the fairly short audio for this one, and the bulk of the work editing the stream is again being outsourced
