I now have some idea what's going on

Multiple people are reporting a N/T issue after following the default load-out procedure. Now this is EXACTLY what I need people to do. It helps because I can be sure people are working from the SAME base settings, you have no idea how that simplifies things for me.

No matter what I do I CANNOT make the same thing happen on my radio. This makes absolutely no sense because every radio should be running the exact same code with the exact same configuration data, i.e. everyone's radio should behave like mine does or there's some kind of supernatural crap going on somewhere.

Be aware that the 900 firmware is still in development, things like this are expected to happen. Whatever it is I'm sure I'll figure it out. This is all part of the process, the 900 firmware is not meant to actually be used yet.

I'm going to issue a leveling release. One where I use the actual zip file myself and follow the default load-out process. If this leveling release does the same "N/T" thing for others then I'm going to have to investigate exactly what it is people are doing differently.

UPDATE: I have now finally replicated this "N/T" problem. So I'm able to investigate properly.

It did indeed Russ thank you.

Marcus, if this helps you figure it out, the fix was to use the V04 programmer and write the default calibration settings to the radio that is running V06, then open the V06 programmer and write your default settings gain. The N/T goes away, and the new calibration settings from V06 can be applied. Hope this helps.

The only problem I have on v06 (or any version) is I can't get stable power below 1.3 watts. Guess that means I just can't use some GMRS channels but not a deal breaker. I love the receive on the 900.

I aggre with David S. In his post. We will figure out one way or another how to overcome our problems when upgrading. I personally don't want to bother Marcus. He is doing such an amazing job programming this firmware. I believe most of us know that this is not released firmware. This is in development and there's going to be problems. I thank Marcus and everybody else in the group for figuring out a way to get transmit working again. That .04 to .06 upgrade tip worked for me! My RT-900's functionality is close to my H3 now if not better. I haven't encountered any problems or hic-cups with the .06 firmware running. Thanks again everyone for your help!
