When reporting issue for fixing
Added 2025-04-12 11:08:57 +0000 UTCPlease note that when reporting issues to be fixed, it needs to be tangible. So NOT an opinion, but an actual thing. So no things like "I think it sounds less clear" etc..
It also needs to be specific. For example, saying "I get no transmit" is not enough information. How do you get not transmit? When you press PTT what happens etc.. What is displayed on screen? Think about what you're writing, think about ambiguities.
Issues need to be individual. Don't report multiple things in the same post. Do not report unrelated issues as replies to other posts. Do not hijack other posts.
It needs to be succinct. Every problem can be boiled down to a few sentences. There's no need to write an essay.
It should also be common. If it seems that it's only you experiencing something, report it by all means, but unless it is common to others it's more likely to be user error or hardware failure than a firmware issue.
In order to fix something I have to be able to reproduce it, so unless it's obvious, you MUST include steps for me to exactly replicate the behaviour you are experiencing. So for example, if you are having difficulty accessing a local repeater, this is not an appropriate report as I cannot replicate that situation due to me not living where you do and not being able to access the same repeater. This part is VITAL and you must think about this before posting, if there's no way for me to replicate what you're experiencing, please do not post. I always try my best to replicate any issue reported and if I cannot, I won't consider it a problem and move on, so if you want something fixing you REALLY have to understand this point, it is important.

Weird are the ways we communicate. Easter Eggs and such. Efficiency is key! 😜
