nicFW890 V3.00.17
Added 2025-04-06 19:59:38 +0000 UTCThis is to address a bug in the SPI App when importing .nicfont files. They should import into the correct character slots now.
The firmware is still version .16 and need not be updated if you are already running .16

When I hand-jam into SPI one of the channels, write it to the HT (successfully), read it back, export it to CSV, that entry looks identical to the one in the "failed-to-load" CSV file, so I'm not sure what is causing my manually-created CSV file (granted, copying from my Chirp profile, but then doing some manipulation of content to match RT-890 SPI CSV format). Additionally, unclear to me what Bank 1, Bank 2, Bank 3, Bank 4 system in the SPI represents -- looks like a division of the 1000 memory slots into 4x250, though I don't quite understand how to utilize/access that. Finally, would like to confirm that Slot 1, Slot 2, Slot 3, Slot 4 correspond to up to 4 Group slots that each memory channel can be associated with, using the Group letter A-O (single character) in each column.

2025-04-11 17:01:12 +0000 UTCI'm trying to edit the CSV to put in 45 channels for my local VHF/UHF repeaters. Can't get the SPI utility for v3.0.17 to read the file properly, don't know where to look to see the errors (SPI reports "Error loading csv file"). RT-890 flashed to 3.0.17, however HT menu shows "3.00.16" -- is that a FW bug or is that because my flash actually failed? Anyway, main challenge is trying to get my modified channel CSV to load to SPI. You can see it here: https://pastebin.com/zqNswhZr

2025-04-11 16:45:58 +0000 UTCHi Marcus, I encountered a glitch with both the 890 (3.00.16) and H3 (2.52.13). While scanning with both of them at the same time (comparing antennas and radios), after received transmission ended on same freq. , the display on both started flashing quickly, S meter was S0 on both and they stayed that way until I cancelled scan about 2 minutes after it started. I was able to scan normally afterward. A few hours later, the 890 did it 2 more times, H3 did not. All settings common to each other are identical. Others are at default. Any thoughts on what might be happening? On another note, I had mentioned the 890 S-meter refreshes were causing RFI helicoptering previously. 3.00.16 fixed it. Don' even need to use RFI comp. TY
