We also talked about an article Troy co-wrote with Drew Prendergrass in Jacobin, entitled The Climate Crisis and COVID-19 Are Inseparable.

I read Beasts of Burden a few years ago and it’s still a book I think about, particularly the ways in which she criticises some of the rhetoric of animal activism, i.e. that animals are “voiceless” or “helpless”, from a disability perspective.

I first heard the word vegan in 1971 and the ideas around it have been coming back in waves ever since - with shifts in emphasis on this part and that bit. I don't think I've heard everything brought together as well as it is here. I'll give this a powerful Stan when it goes public x
