I also strongly agree with this idea, something a bit chatty and informal but still about politics/society/contemporary issues. Lots of room for something like Chapo Trap House but more relevant to the UK!

In relation to the amount of work that goes into productions I would suggest alternating interview shows with a panel show with some regular panelists which might require less work or monologue review of the week’s news. See The Young Turks in US and Novara Media in UK for examples. The volume of left leaning podcasts is so low, I’d be more than happy to just get a wrap up of news stories with a Left spin or an informal chat.
