It provides an alternative configurable User Interface (UI) to access common VAM features and additional extra functions. Full details are on the hub here.
New Features:
Voice activated operations are now available under Trigger Functions. This allows you to activate any UIAssist operation(s) with a Voice phrase. This feature uses the Unity speech recognition capability to listen on your Windows default microphone for any spoken phrases that match the list of words you specify. Keep phrases short (~ 2 words) and simple.
For Unity Speech recognition to work, the VAM window needs to have the system microphone focus. This can typically be achieved by having VAM as the foreground app. However, there appears to be a Windows bug where using Alt+Tab to bring VAM to the foreground does not result in VAM having the microphone focus (even if you then click on the VAM window with your mouse). Selecting VAM on the Windows taskbar is a more reliable way of ensuring it has the microphone focus. Additionally, if there are other VAM plugins which use the Unity Phrase Recogniser these may clash with UIAssist - typically only one plugin will be triggered for any specific phrase.Introduced new button Operations to control the Navigation settings under VAM's User Preferences.
