Introducing my new River Otter design!
It's super-flexible and fully print-in-place, and features a pop-in mechanism in the neck segment that allows it to hold it's head up when in a standing pose (similar to the platypus head joint). Here's a quick demo video of how it works!

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:
River Otter: 100% Print-in-Place. No supports needed. There is a small custom brim around the head to help with adhesion. Remove and discard it after printing
Multicolor 3MF (Compatible with PrusaSlicer and Bambu Studio)
10%-15% Infill (I recommend Gyroid, Crosshatch or 3D Honeycomb)
3 Walls. (Assuming 0.4mm nozzle. Adjust wall count to account for alternate
nozzle sizes)
Features a pop-in mechanism in the neck segment that allows it to hold it's head up when in a standing pose. Here's a quick demo video of how it works!
This should generally scale down to about 60% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer. Your mileage may vary.

2024-10-03 19:45:25 +0000 UTCI ended up adding a brim. I use the purple glue stick already. I really wanted to bring the color options on my new Bambu that’s where I was having problems. I’ve never on the Prusa . I agree I rarely clean my Prusa board. The Bambu I’ve had a week and I am working the bugs. My solution ended up being textured board, glue and a brim.

2024-10-03 19:44:52 +0000 UTCI hope you've resolved your issue by now but just in case you haven't: Use the files that have supports built in and use purple gluestick. You'll never have adhesion issues again. I rarely ever clean my bed anymore and just reapply when it starts to look a little thinned of if something does shift. I sometimes have to clean the bottom of my prints to get the residue off but they usually come off pretty clean. Even if cleanup is necessary, it's just a matter of running warm water over it. Baby wipes are also an option and work extremely quickly, effectively, and much less drying time as opposed to waiting for water to evaporate off.

2024-10-02 04:56:20 +0000 UTCI've printed a couple at 60% and can't seem to get the neck locking thing to work. I'll try full size and see if that makes a difference. (I didn't realize the platypus had this feature as well)

I cannot get the print not to move and ruin the print for the axolotl tail. I want to print the otter but I am afraid of the same thing.
