Hey Everyone!

Introducing my new Ferret design!  This furry fella comes with some fun features like belly extension links because who doesn't love a super-long ferret (my personal preference is to add one extension link).  Also, with the assistance of rubber band "belly muscles", it can support itself for more realistic standing poses!

Please watch This Video for a demonstration of the model and the proper way to string up the rubber band.  It's super-easy to fit, but you do have to twist it between each link so that the tension is evenly distributed.  This is key to posing stability.  One rubber band should work in most cases, but you could use two if you want a less tension.  If using two, just overlap the rubber bands on one of the central links.  It uses the same size #12 rubber bands as the bat models, like These Rubber Bands***

I hope you like it!

Cheers!
Matt

3D PRINTING SETTINGS

A few of the parts have small connective "anchors" on the first layer to help with bed adhesion.  You will need to trim them away before adding the rubber bands.

This should generally scale down to about 65% with full articulation, on a well calibrated printer.  YMMV

Please watch This Video for a demonstration of the model and the proper way to string up the rubber band.

Comments

I know you said it should scale down to 65% just wondering if anyone was able to print any smaller successfully. The full size is adorable though just needed a small gift for someone and wanted to know how small I could get it.

I haven't had any issues with the textured PEI plates on my A1 Mini or X1Cs. The usual things to try would be wash the bed with dish soap, and be careful not to touch the print surface to avoid getting finger oils on it. I also wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol between prints. Maybe try a brim (I use a brim gap of 0.35mm which helps adhesion, yet comes off very easy and clean).

Having so much issues trying to print this on a Bambu A1 with Inland Pla. I’ve printed other things but have anyone else had issues printing or any fixes for your issues? The adhesion 15-20min in and some pieces come off.
