Hey Everyone!
As promised, here is the second part of my one year anniversary "Axolotl" theme... RoboLotl - The Robot Axolotl!! Without the Sci-Fi movies of the 80s I never would have started down the career path I've had, so when I had the idea to do an Anniversary Edition Axolotl, a Robot version was at the top of my list. This was so much fun and yet surprisingly challenging to design. I hope you like it!!
This model has one new posing feature that may not be too obvious. You can clip the gills over parts of the back as a way of posing it with it's head up. Here is a video to show how it works! https://youtu.be/nBnS02eFf-A

Head: Snap-Fit to Body. Pre-Supported for easy printing. No additional support needed.
Body_preSupportAndBrim (recommended): Print-In-Place. Pre-Supported for easy printing. No additional support needed.
Body_customBrims: includes custom brims, but no tail presupport.
Body_NoBrimsOrSupports: Just the body, generate print aids if needed and how you see fit.
10-15% Infill.
3 Walls.
Due to the very small joints in the gills, this axolotl may be more limited in how small it will print successfully. It has been test printed as low as 70-75% with full articulation. YMMV

2023-07-05 16:41:15 +0000 UTCI would think so. Iβve seen some magnets on Amazon listed as 2mm but actually measure 2.3, so they may be the same. I imagine most of them are manufactured at the same factory.

2023-06-29 17:09:35 +0000 UTCThese were printed on a Bambu X1 Carbon. It's 0.16mm layer height, but I also used variable layer height on these to get smoother top layers on the back and nose.
