Hi everyone!
Here's a list of things you need to do so that your trip in Japan goes more smoothly💕
Doing these things while before your trip will save you time and headaches when you're in Japan where you might not have good connectivity/wifi all the time!
I'll be updating this list as I think of more tips!
Fill this out before you go on your trip once you have your accommodation and flight number.
The form can be a little tricky as the UI isn't great. If you get stuck, just click around and you'll be ok!
Screenshot your QR code! Once you land, you may not have data/wifi (or it might be very slow) so have it saved on your phone so that you're ready to pull out when you need it.
You probably won't have data in Japan unless you're renting a pocket wifi or get an eSim. Download the free wifi app (here's a link and guide: https://www.japan-guide.com/ad/nttbp/) so that you can automatically be connected to free wifi spots at the places you go.
You can avoid lining up for paper tickets and get around the train system by tapping your phone/Apple Watch using an IC card. If you have an iPhone, you can easily add an IC card (such as Suica or Pasmo - any of them work) to your Apple Wallet before you arrive in Japan.
You can add money to it even if you're overseas, however you'll need an American Express card to do it virtually.
You can add money to it while you're in Japan using cash at the train station or at a convenience store (just tell the clerk, 「Suicaにチャージお願いします」 (Suica ni cha-ji onegaishimasu)). (Feel free to screenshot this or note it in your notes app).

I hope these tips help. I'll continue to add any more I think of!💖
Enjoy your time in Japan🇯🇵💕
