The principal is open to hearing the defense. That's a good sign. I just hope that they have the wisdom to make the right judgement, and the power to protect everyone involved. Emile seems to have come to the conclusion that the truth is best. He is right, of course, but the local attitude may mean that the court of public opinion won't be in his favor, even if the current authority is. Whatever the outcome here, at least we know he has friends who will support him.
