The evolution of animation

View at your own risk. I have tried to exclude the most gruesome products of our development.

You already know what we can do with animations, given enough time. But that wasn't always the case. We had quite a long road before us when we initially started.

We didn't know right away what software we could use. There are several options, not just blender. One of the biggest issue was that we needed to port our character in whatever external software we would use. Something that is easier said than done.
When we finally decided for Blender, it took us months just to get the characters about right.

Here is an early try - warning, this one is gruesome and yes we had much worse things that I excluded:
We are not liable for any emotional, or physical damage you might have

We might have made some slow progress here and there:
It get's better from here?

And eventually ended at a still completely useless level
But hey, at least improvement

All while our daz animations, though limited - were already on that level
There are extreme limitations on Daz, but at that point the Daz Animations were still way ahead of anything else we had. That is a bitter pill after investing several month's into a topic (one person).

We left the topic Blender at this point. Only to return to it more determined about a year later. We are a small team, but we help each other and we have a rule regarding documenting every work-step that is not completely clear.
And this time we improved fast. The document we wrote initially as guide, was soon completely replaced.

I think you can see in Karma that we were still improving. In general we started with the good path's. There are more animations there, but things improved a bit on towards the darker path. We did a close to 20 second animation there!
Quite frankly, we still don't have the hardware we need. But with the new GPU (Patreon post) we were able to animate the scenes with multiple characters.

Now where are we currently?
You can see it at the start of this post. We'll keep including a mixture of daz animations to animate...non physical scenes....in contract, we use blender for physical ones.

I hope I am not disappointing anyone who thought we were really talented. We compensate it with stubbornness and by being relentless at not giving up.
