2025-10-02 17:14:27 +0000 UTCLate to the party but worth mentioning that the caterpillar that ate the peppers is almost certainly a tobacco hornworm, which gets parasitized by a wasp that lays eggs inside it which burst out through its back, which was both the inspiration for the first Alien movie and caused Charles Darwin to write "I cannot persuade myself that a beneficent and omnipotent God would have designedly created parasitic wasps with the express intention of their feeding within the living bodies of caterpillars."
