I feel like for the past few years, especially in the sphere of streamers and the sort of streamer/manosphere crossover, the "fans" WANT people who they find disgusting/otherwise objectionable to feel shocked and repulsed by, who they can easily sling abuse at and perhaps feel superior to. They probably like Asmongold not in spite of him being an awful person who's clearly not mentally well, but BECAUSE OF IT. Nazis and manosphere guys like Adin Ross BECAUSE he's a small dumb pathetic guy who lets them gang up on him for being jewish and call him slurs.
