When I first came up with the concept for Kronos I had little else but some programming knowledge and a few art skills. Having put together the basic engine for dialogue, I sough out support on Patreon to get additional resources, especially art and models, to enhance the quality of the game as the engine was further developed. It started with an update to the overworld map, and continues today with HD models, set locations, and computer hardware upgrades.
Every last dollar that you give to support the development of Kronos goes right back into the game. Thanks to all of my patrons, but especially those on the upper tiers, I've been able to acquire much-needed assets for Kronos, which is especially essential for the new turn-based, tactical battle system in development.
Your ideas and suggestions have been a huge inspiration. Some of the exciting scenarios that are ready to be introduced with the upgraded battle system have come directly from patrons like you, and I absolutely love hearing from you. Someone once told me not solicit feedback from patrons because they'll take over the development of the game and it will turn into something I didn't intend. I've found the opposite to be true. I think the ideas you've shared with me have been the cornerstone to creating fun new stories and timeline locations.
My only wish is that I had more time and resources of my own to pour into this game. I am aware that other adult games supported on Patreon have been around for a lot longer and bring in tens of thousands of dollars every month. Those developers can hire full-time artists and programmers to produce feature and content updates several times a year. My biggest regret is that right now I can't afford to work on Kronos full-time, because I have to take on "normal" jobs to pay the bills. But I want to change that.
My hope is that by this time next year we will have enough monthly support that Kronos can be developed full-time, with brand new timelines, rich with unique enemies and a variety of women, coming out every month.
Thank you so much for being a monthly supporter. In a world where people won't even spend a dollar, euro, or quid on a fully-developed phone app or game, you have managed to provide monthly support to a game with no promise of specific update times. To those who stick with me every month, knowing that we are creating something exciting together, knowing that there will be some slow months, and some months where a big update shows up, to those patrons I offer my deepest appreciate and thanks. You're amazing, and I can't thank you enough!
With so much love,
Scarlett
