Reporting Issues

What is the best way of getting the attention of a core author -not just me- to get an issue effectively solved? That's github issues.

For problems on my arcade cores, please go to jtbin/issues and enter the problem there. You will need to make a github account first, I know, but it is completely worth it. Issues reported on other media may get lost as I get too many messeges on other platforms.

For problems on the Genesis/Megadrive sound or the NeoGeo sound, you can either use my jt12/issues directly or use the MiSTer-devel github for that. But, if you use MiSTer-devel, it's better if you call out my user name @jotego so I check the report. I don't maintain directly the MiSTer-devel repos but those use my sound modules so the issue will have to pass by me eventually. For sound issues, please include a VGM file of the track where the issue happens. Notice that VGM files can be downloaded from project2612 for Genesis games and from VGM rips for other systems (NeoGeo, etc.)

For contributing with new MRA files, please make a pull request to the jtbin repository or to the original arcade repository.

Finally, if you have generic problems with MiSTer, Discord is the best place. It's better to mention me (@jotego) rather than directly writting to me as I can tell if you are a Patreon member only in our discord channel. It goes without saying that members get more attention.

Conforme el tamaño y número de los proyectos ha ido aumentando, mantener control de los partes de errores es más importante y difícil. Para ello la mejor herramienta son las issues de github.

Para problemas con mis cores, lo más sencillo es crear un parte en jtbin. Lo podéis hacer en inglés para que todos puedan participar o en español si os sentís más comodos. Todos los partes que entran por github son procesados y no se pierden.

Sobre el sonido de los cores de Megadrive y Neogeo, preferiblemente el parte debería ser por JT12 primero. Si lo hacéis por MiSTer-devel, aseguraos de mencionarme con @jotego. En cualquier caso, incluid un fichero VGM de la música con el problema. Los ficheros VGM se pueden encontrar aquí y aquí.

Para contribuir con nuevos ficheros MRA, lo mejor es un pull request en jtbin o en el repositorio original de ese arcade.

Y para problemas genéricos con MiSTer, lo mejor es nuestro servidor de Discord. Ahí podéis mencionarme con @jotego. Con los mensajes directos no sé si sois miembros de Patreon, así si queréis un trato preferente mejor por los canales del servidor con mención a mí.
