F1 Dream Beta
Added 2019-11-18 18:46:28 +0000 UTCTiger Road PCB has an empty socket for an intel microcontroller (MCU). Also some chip footprints are drawn on the board, but the chips are not there. If you fill those gaps you will just get a F1 Dream PCB! Yes, it looks like these two games shared the same design!
It has been rather easy to make F1 Dream work on the Tiger Road core. It does use an MCU for protection, which I had to add. It turned out the MCU has the same circuit used in Bionic Commando. After a little bit of trouble with the sound; this beauty is working now.
Please find the beta for MiST and MiSTer here. Some people have reported that Tiger Road hangs up occasionally. I have seen it run for 10+ hours without hanging. And also I've seen it hang up with in a few minutes. It's going to be interesting to see how F1 Dream behaves as it is pretty much the same hardware. Please let me know if you find issues.

I was told yesterday, yes. I have reproduced it locally with the ROM Star version of the game. I am trying to see whether it happens with other versions of the game. There is an issue for this here: https://github.com/jotego/jtbin/issues/1
