The first post for this month is part 2 of the Pope story, an absurdist short fiction inspired by the brief historical period where there really were three simultaneous popes who excommunicated each other. These popes also excommunicated each other, but they should have been worrying more about their cardinals and an open court case.
For Warring and Peacetime, there are 5293 words scheduled of Aiko's recklessness catching up with her, ruthless politicking, and obligations to feudal underlings.
Problem Child has the largest word count for the month at 5331 words, but there's a catch-- this is a deleted version of the current storyline. It is heavy on snappy banter, seasoned reasonably with ninja antics, and a bit light on useful plot threads to pick up later on in the larger story.
It all is locked to paid subscribers for the month, as always, and will become visible either in August or on the first of September (depending on what it is).
