Ren'Py Developer Update - January 2025

This month saw a lot of major changes to Ren’Py, as I’m trying to finish the features that will be in the next major release. In this article, I’ll talk a bit more about the work on compressed slots, some more memory reduction work, and the new feature I announced at Visual;Conference - 3D model loading. I’ll also talk about what to expect from 3D model loading in the 8.4 release, and what you can expect from 8.5.

I can't wait to test to see what effect it's gonna gave when I rebuild season 1, which was giving some of my lower-spec Android users headaches. <3
